I'M BACK!!!

I started TWO FRENCH VILLAGES back in 2019, when this website was a place to record our family's adventures between France and Quebec.

My last post was in 2020, when we had just moved to Quebec and were finding our feet in our new French-speaking village.

And then ...life happened.

There were children, family, a pandemic, plenty of distractions ...and...somewhere along the way, all those experiences began turning themselves into a book.

Actually two books.

Six years later, I'm back because the story has become a completed 65,000-word memoir Two French Villages: Two French Summers - Two Kiwis, Two Kids, Too Many Visitors.

And there's a second memoir emerging too - Two French Villages Across the Atlantic: Bonjour-Hi-Quebec, about what happens when the French village dream crosses the Atlantic and lands in Quebec.

So perhaps this is more than simply coming back. It's a bridge between where the story began and where it is going next. And what better place to cross that bridge than Ribaute, the little French village that has been at the heart of so much of these stories.
